An oldie, but one I thoroughly enjoyed drawing.
BOLLY-MANIA
Yes yes yes……everyone loves bollywood now. But i’m gonna be like the super indie kids that “knew about that band before they were BIG.” I’ve liked Bollywood for YEARS. So much so that I will occasionally do Bollywood performances. Yes. I learn the words. I dance around. And it makes people smile. They could be laughing AT me for all I know. But i don’t care. ANYWAY- Bollywood had to cross over into my other art life. And while watching Devdas tonight for the UMP-teenth time- I drew these. WHAT?! more drawings from today?! (Don’t worry. You’re not the only one that’s shocked.)
DANCE!
I really like that drawing. But it also helps me see where I’m lacking in posing, and action-y type feeling. (YES, “Action-y” IS a technical term. In my world. Hush.)
Loosely based on Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan
Another Bolly-inspired drawing. Devdas is a beautiful movie, if you ever get the hankering for a 3.5 hour marathon of music/dancing madness. It’s also very melodramtic, so put your Theatre hat on. 
Aishwarya is in that movie, and I drew this without even realizing I was using her as a reference. SUBCONSCIOUS DRAWING?! heehee

Secret Pin Up Drawings
I say secret because I drew them in short spurts between my work managers walking by my desk. I know when I leave there, and get an animation job, and then create characters all based on their antics, they’ll forgive me. Well…..some of them will. But here they are. The first drawings/doodles that have come out of me without force in the last two years. WOW.
**(quick note- yes. it sucks that I haven’t felt like drawing….and I’m one of those cautionary tales my instructors told me about losing your skills when you don’t practice. I admit that I have DEFINITELY lost some of the skills I gained. But they will come back. And….I don’t regret the time I spent away from drawing. It allowed me to be creative in other ways. I say all this just as a way of waving the “I’m trying again!” flag…..and maybe I can balance my life a little more this time, so one creative outlet can feed the other.) (this last prospect excites me!)
but I digress. THE DRAWINGS!
